Refunds and Credit Policy for Program
In order for the YMCA to plan for teachers
and supplies the following policies have been put in place:
A full refund will be issued if:
- You withdraw from a Winter class by
December 23, 2007
- You withdraw from a Spring class by
March 23, 2008
- The YMCA cancels the class.
Refunds will be
given by check or by YMCA credit voucher. Credit vouchers must be used
within one calendar year. Refunds by check usually take 3-5 weeks to
process.
A prorated refund will be issued if:
- The Program Director has to cancel the
class due to unforeseen circumstances;
or
- A medical condition develops that
prevents the individual from participating in the class (a medical note
is required and only the unused portion will be refunded); or
- If the participant is dissatisfied with
the program.
Adult OrientationFor your safety and
to assist you in using proper form and technique, it is highly recommended
that all new members go through this orientation. Your questions about
setting up an exercise program, and how to use and adjust the cardiovascular
and weight equipment will be answered. Please schedule an appointment
with a fitness consultant at the customer Service Desk.
Youth Orientation
For safety purposes, it is mandatory that all youth ages 13-15 go through 2
one-hour orientations with our staff prior t exercising in the Fitness
Center (13 year olds must be accompanied by parent or guardian). We
will cover the same items as an adult orientation and also show how exercise
can be fun and can help improve self-esteem. Participants will receive
a card upon completion allowing them to use the fitness center. Anyone
under 14 (13 year old with parent) is not allowed in the fitness center
without a trainer (see Kid Fit Training if interested).
